Claudia Umana is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Blended World Group, LLC (BWG), a young professional with a Finance degree from DePaul University, and a Masters from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Claudia is originally from Cali, Colombia and a proud product of her maternal Jewish and paternal Afro-Latin roots. Her blended heritage provided the foundation and her proclivity for outstanding achievements in sports, academia and in business. This racial mixture and the fact that she spent her childhood and adolescence in a blended country as Colombia, but her adulthood in Chicago, IL; has made Miss Umana an epitome and a connoisseur of the two cultures: Latin and American, building in her a brave, warm, courageous and vivacious personality.

She has an extensive knowledge in operating businesses and over ten years of experience in the corporate world. Her professional experience consists of an amalgamation of finance, marketing, and public relations.
Her professional accomplishments spans a wide range of financial institutions including Bank of America-Merrill Lynch in which she managed over five Billion dollars in assets, she was recognized as one of the top mortgage underwriters at Ameriquest. Additionally, she also worked as a resourceful team member to private equity deals in the well-recognized Silicone Valley – Venture Capital world. She has made invaluable contributions to various charities, has personally organized numerous events utilizing her established network to find sponsors, and she has created endorsement opportunities for NBA athletes.
